CLASS WARFARE OR EMANCIPATION?

When we hear Republicans say that complaining about income inequality is "class warfare" I'm reminded of slave owners who probably had these very same complaints about those they oppressed and exploited. It went something like this;

"Don't bite the hand that feeds you boy!" You should be grateful that you have a roof over your head, shoes on your feet, and a meal to come home to.

The message from Republicans; who are acting as hired pitch men for the rich, is pretty much the same.

"Don't complain!" Be grateful to the rich. They provide you with a job, a roof over your head, and 3 square meals a day. And there's even more to come if you just hang on and don't make waves. One day you might be invited to the 1% Club and join a group!

Sounds great! And many Americans have been buying into it for a long time now: dreaming about the "American Dream." only to wake up to realizing that the 1% is still only 1% and they are still on the want-a-be waiting list. Their 30 something kids are living in their basements because don't earn enough to own their own home. And, if they were completely frank, admit that they need them to help with the mortgage and keep them afloat.

FDR in 1944 referred to it as our "SECOND BILL OF RIGHTS"

So, here's the choices;

Sit back and wait and let the people in charge today decide your future; or

get up on election day, pile your kids in the car and head to the voting booth. And before you decide who to vote for, listen to this message from Bernie Sanders;

Bernie Sanders Quotes FDR: 'Freedom Cannot Exist Without Economic Security'
